Overview
This article explains how to configure an SNMP Manager in JetPatch Agent Manager to enable SNMP trap sending.
It covers the prerequisites, including firewall configuration, and provides step-by-step instructions for accessing and configuring the SNMP settings through the administrative interface.
Prerequisites
Make sure organizational firewalls allow SNMP traffic (usually UDP port 162) from the JetAgent Server to the SNMP Manager before proceeding.
Procedure
To define an SNMP Manager:
- Make sure that organizational firewalls allow SNMP traffic (usually UDP port 162) from the JetAgent Server to the SNMP Manager.
- Log in as an Administrator.
- Go to Settings > SNMP and click Edit Configuration.
- Enable the configuration, and configure the SNMP settings as defined by your organizational SNMP administrator. You can also send a test trap to verify the configuration.
- Click Save.
