After a Remediation Plan is created, it is put into Pending status, and a ticket is sent to the integrated ITSM for approval. This article demonstrates how to approve/reject a remediation plan when the integrated system is JIRA. Once a remediation plan is Activated it is sent for approval, and an Issue is automatically created in Jira requiring your attention under status.
JIRA Action Buttons:
There are several standard action buttons provided by Jira, and therefore their behavior is defined by Jira: Edit, Comment, Assign, Mor,e and Admin.
JetPatch action buttons:
The actions you can perform once a remediation plan is created in JIRA are Reject, Approved for Automation, and Cancel.
Reject: Once an issue is rejected, the Remediation plan moves to Rejected by ITSM status in JetPatch. A rejected issue can be reopened and will then return to Pending Approval status in Jira.
Cancel: Once an Issue is Canceled it can not be updated or changed.
Approve for Automation: When an issue is approved, it will move to the Scheduled status, and the Remediation Plan will be executed by JetPatch.
Stop Progress button: If you have selected 'Approved for Automation' but you want to cancel the approval, you can click on the 'Stop Progress' button. This will move the remediation plan to Canceled
Done button: Once an Issue is in Done status in Jira, it cannot be updated or changed; however, this button will not affect JetPatc,h and the Remediation Plan will continue execution as scheduled.
Failed button: Once an Issue is moved to failed status in Jira, it cannot be updated or changed; however, this button will not affect JetPatch, and the Remediation Plan will continue execution as scheduled.
Cancel button: Once an Issue is Cancelled it will remain in this status and can not be updated or changed
