You can configure a policy for default endpoint user accounts. Upon non-attended endpoint actions (REST API actions and policy-based provisioning) to endpoints that don't already have assigned accounts, JetPatch Agent Manager automatically assigns these default user accounts according to policy.
Policy rules assign default accounts to smart groups. Since smart groups are dynamic, endpoint discovery can be followed by unattended provisioning without any user intervention.
To configure a policy for default endpoint user accounts:
- Make sure that relevant smart groups are properly configured, and that relevant user accounts have been provided.
- Log in as an administrator, and go to Policy > Accounts:
- Click Create Rule.
- Select a Smart Group, and Linux and Windows accounts to use for the group's endpoints:
- Click OK.
