Overview
You can configure an account credentials rule to automatically assign endpoint accounts based on smart groups.
The rule automatically assigns based on automatic endpoint actions (eg: REST API actions or policy-basedprovisioning) to endpoints that don't already have assigned accounts. Manual deployment from JetPatch or from the endpoint itself will not trigger this policy.
This is particularly useful in large environments where endpoints are provisioned dynamically, ensuring every new endpoint receives the correct credentials without manual intervention.
| Trigger | Behavior |
| Automatic endpoint actions | The rule is applied automatically (e.g., REST API actions or policy-based provisioning) to endpoints that do not already have assigned accounts. |
| Manual deployment | Manual deployment from JetPatch or from the endpoint itself will NOT trigger this rule. |
| Note: When an endpoint belongs to more than one Smart Group, the first relevant rule is applied, based on the configured priority order. |
