This tab contains all patches that were discovered from both Windows and Linux servers.
Patches Discovery
To discover Linux patches for your endpoints, you will need to provision the JetPatch Connector on your servers.
To discover Windows patches, just make sure your WSUS discovery source is connected.
Patches Catalog Filters
- Search - filter by the full name / KB article / Advisory ID. Note - You can choose to include or exclude the searched value by switching the component option on top of the Search input.
- Approval Status - filter by the patch approval status
- Operating System
- Endpoint Name
- Endpoint Group
- Remediation Plan
- Show Patches - filter by the patches status - needed patches, in progress, installed or failed
- More Filters
- From date / To date - Patch release date
- Released Before / Released In The Last - Patch release date
- Severity - Patch severity definition
- Category
- Vulnerability
- Product
Patch Saved Filters (Patch Bundles)
You can save a searched filter in the patches catalog.
Create a new Saved Filter
- Apply all the filters you want
- Click on the
button and choose "Save As..."
- Fill the details and click on "SAVE FILTER"
Choose an exiting Saved Filter
- Click on the "SAVED FILTERS" button and choose the required filter
You will notice that the information on table and the table filters were changed accordingly, along with the name of the "SAVED FILTERS" button to indicate you are now seeing the requested Saved Filter.
Update an exiting Saved Filter
- Click on the "SAVED FILTERS" button and choose the required filter
- Make your changes for the table filters
- Click on the "SAVED FILTERS" button again. Note - the text on the button was changed to the name of the chosen Saved Filter.
- Click on "Update"
Note - The "Update" button will be disabled if the current filter is being used for Compliance rule and/or Automatic Remediation Plan Creation.
Fix a Broken Saved Filter
A broken Saved Filter can be a result of deleting Endpoint, Endpoint Group or Vulnerability that the Saved Filter is based on.
If you have a broken Saved Filter the system will inform you by adding a red exclamation mark in the left menu.
- In Patches Catalog, go Click on the "SAVED FILTERS" button and choose the broken filter
- Remove the "INVALID" appears on the problematic table filter.
- Click on the "SAVED FILTERS" button again. Note - the text on the button was changed to the name of the chosen Saved Filter.
- Click on "Update"
List of Saved Filters
To see the list of the Saved Filters, click on "SAVED FILTERS" button and choose "Manage Saved Filters".
You can edit the filters information (Name and Description) or delete it (only if it's not part of Automatic Remediation Plan creation or Compliance rule)
Create a Remediation Plan
After filtering and selecting the relevant patches, click on 'Create Remediation Plan'. You will then be directed to the Remediation plan wizard to complete its creation.
Reports
Reports can be downloaded by clicking on the bottom left "Download Reports" icon.
The available reports are:
- Patches Catalog Report (CSV) - downloading extended information on the filtered patches.
- Patches Compliance (CSV) - describes the status of the filtered patches across the environment. Includes:
- Patch details (Name, Advisory, Operating System, Product, Category, Severity, CVE, Release Date)
- Relevant Remediation Plans
- Applicable endpoints (Name)
- Patch Status on each applicable endpoint
- Failure date (if the operation failed on an endpoint)
- Install/Remove Date
- Failure Date
