Overview

This article explains how to grant API permissions to JetPatch users so they can perform API actions. You'll learn how to enable API access and generate the necessary API key for authentication.

Granting API Permission

API actions can be performed only by a user with API permissions. The JetPatch server

To grant API permission to a JetPatch user:

1. Log in to the JetPatch Console as an Administrator.

2. In the Users tab, under Users, edit the relevant user (pencil icon):

   

3. Click Permissions, then Allow API Access:

   

4. Click Generate Now to generate an API key
5. Make note of the Username and copy the API key - You'll need them to perform API actions.
6. Click Save.
